V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women launched its academic career on 22.06.1962 with the approval granted by Director of Public Instruction, Madras, affiliated to University of Madras. Then its name was Virudhunagar Women’s College. Later in recognition of the meritorious service rendered and the fabulous donation given by Thiru V.V.Vanniaperumal of Virudhunagar, the college was renamed as V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women.

         The Managing Board of V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women, right from the beginning, has been working for the upliftment and betterment of the poor and needy rural students under the care of highly qualified and committed Teachers. Because of the untiring efforts taken by the succeeding Managing Boards, various new courses have been introduced year by year and Nursing is one among them which commenced its service in the year 2009-2010.

         Our Nursing College is located in the heart of the town and very near to the bus stand – very much accessible to all. It has easy access by bus and train.
